theshocker Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 I am trying to bid on a hotel in NYC for Tuesday night (Dec.10).I bid in MTE, MTW, and Central Park South. I bid up to $209 and from 3-5 stars, over a variety of bids. No luck on any of these.Any suggestions to secure a place? I'd like to keep it around $200 ($250ish with tax, tops) and want to be in Midtown, possibly.
thereuare Posted December 9, 2013 Report Posted December 9, 2013 Have you considered including the MSG, Chelsea and/or ESB zones to your bidding? If you'd like to add any/all of these to your bidding and need help with a bidding strategy let us know.I'll also add that HOTWIRE has a 3* hotel in the MSG zone (Smoke Free, Free Internet, Kitchenette, Laundry) for $178/nite. As this property has not yet been identified it's unknown if this is equivalent to a PRICELINE 2.5* or 3* hotel, but given the expensive time of year and the price, maybe it will do for a one nite stay if you don't require much from the hotel other than a safe and clean place to sleep? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you decide you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
