Priceline Hotel: 4* Miami (Airport West - Doral) Trump National Doral

It's my first post here after finding you guys.

I'm from Brazil and will be travelling to US next week.

I've done just one bid aiming to a 2 or 3 star hotel because that's what I can pay for.

So I bidded 68 dolars for a 3* at Miami.

They "upgraded" me to a 4* (Trump National Doral) wich has a lot of taxes for everything (parking, resort fee, breakfast) and is totally out of my focus.

This ended up been a very, VERY bad deal because it will be a lot more than I was willing to pay for a hotel (That's why I was looking for a cheaper 2 or 3*!)

I've read the reviews at the own priceline website and a lot of people tell the same history on that hotel.

If someone knows something that I can do about it, I appreciate your help.

Sorry to hear that this win was a disappointment and not what you are looking for. You can try to contact PRICELINE, but being automatically upgraded is a possibility when bidding at any level lower than the highest level in a particular zone. Hopefully the hotel will be better than expected.

I just felt that even knowing that (obviously) a 4 star is better than a 3, that wasn't what I was looking for.

I was just looking for a reasonable bed to sleep.

Not a fancy one...

Anyway... I'm trying to fix that.
