eduhofmann Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 It's my first post here after finding you guys.I'm from Brazil and will be travelling to US next week. I've done just one bid aiming to a 2 or 3 star hotel because that's what I can pay for.So I bidded 68 dolars for a 3* at Miami. They "upgraded" me to a 4* (Trump National Doral) wich has a lot of taxes for everything (parking, resort fee, breakfast) and is totally out of my focus. This ended up been a very, VERY bad deal because it will be a lot more than I was willing to pay for a hotel (That's why I was looking for a cheaper 2 or 3*!)I've read the reviews at the own priceline website and a lot of people tell the same history on that hotel. If someone knows something that I can do about it, I appreciate your help.Sincerely Eduardo
AaronJB Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Sorry to hear that this win was a disappointment and not what you are looking for. You can try to contact PRICELINE, but being automatically upgraded is a possibility when bidding at any level lower than the highest level in a particular zone. Hopefully the hotel will be better than expected.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
eduhofmann Posted December 7, 2013 Author Report Posted December 7, 2013 Tnkx AaronJB, I just felt that even knowing that (obviously) a 4 star is better than a 3, that wasn't what I was looking for. I was just looking for a reasonable bed to sleep. Not a fancy one...Anyway... I'm trying to fix that.Cheers.
