Priceline Hotel: 4* DC (Capitol Hill - Convention Center) Hyatt Regency Washington DC on Capitol Hill

After getting a good deal on the NYC portion of our trip, we are now looking to book a hotel in DC, for May 15-17 (2 nights)

We would prefer being in the city, (so Dupont Circle, White House or Capitol Hill zones) and would ideally like up to $140 a night.

3* or 4* preferred.

Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3* OR is the goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay? (ie- do you first want to try for a 4* up to your limit OR do you prefer a less expensive 3* hotel)

I would say least expensive would be better, as we aren't planning to spend long at the hotel, it's just a place to sleep and rest the tired tourist legs..!

We ended up taking the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal at $122, which was the Hyatt Regency. Very happy to get that so cheaply!

Glad to see you received a 4* hotel for less than your maximum budget for a 3* property. Out of curiosity, did you bid up to $120 for a 3* hotel and were rejected OR did you think the 4* was a good value at this price and decided to purchase it thru PRICELINE EXPRESS without bidding?

I was more than happy to bid but SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) said she'd rather have a guaranteed deal, so we went with the express deal!
