Between Astor on the Park and Wyndham Garden in Long Island which one would you recommend?

Neither would be my first choice, but i know these are VERY expensive dates so you have to decide what is most important to you for this stay... the Astor on the Park is vary spartan and basic, and while the location is not ideal, you're at least in Manhattan which makes things a bit easier... the rooms at the Wyndham Garden will likely be a little nicer and newer, but you're outside of Manhattan.
