Hannie
I am reading about the Double tree Time square. This seems a nice hotel especially because we are traveling with three persons. But I am a little confused because in your hotellist it is a 4* hotel andwhen I look at winning bids it is a 3.5* I think this is important for my biddings. My dates are april18-25. Also Is it possible to book 7 days with Priceline? Link to comment
AaronJB
The Doubletree Times Square Guest Suites property is a 4* on the retail side, so my guess is that it remains a 4* on the bidding side of the service. The issue is that this property has rarely been reported to the board as a win. There is no way to guarantee a particular property when bidding, but there is not a significant chance of getting this property, based on how often it has been seen. Is this is the only property of interest?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
Hannie
No this is not the only hotel I am looking at. We also consider suite hotels in New jersey. Do not know which one yet, it should be close to public transportation. We also consider HOTWIRE, but as far as I can see is there not such a property on Hotwire right now. Link to comment
Romelle
With three people, HOTWIRE might work better for you. There you can enter the number of people and be assured of bedding for three, although it still might be a double bed for two and a rollaway cot or fold-out sofa for the third. Especially in New York, on PRICELINE you could receive a room with just one double bed.You did mention not seeing such an offer on HOTWIRE now, but their offers can change quickly. Yes, it is possible to book 7 days with PRICELINE. I've successfully bid up to 10 and I think the maximum is 21.Romelle Link to comment
thereuare
You seem to be trying to find hotels that work for your needs and then figure out how to bid for it on PRICELINE, but it doesn't work that way. When bidding on PRICELINE there is no way to bid on, or target, a specific hotel... you have to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the minimum star rating you select. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. If/when you win a hotel use the EDIT TO REPORT WIN button on the lower right corner of this page and the thread will automatically be moved (if necessary) to the correct section of the board.I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool, and then click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? This is what i'm seeing when searching for your dates, 2adults/1child:Free Parking Complimentary Breakfast Pet Friendly Suite Indoor Pool Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Kitchenette Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower If this is what you're seeing my best guess for this property would be the Embassy Suites Secaucus-Meadowlands.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.letusnkow Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Hannie
Yes this is what i see when I use Hotwire easy view. If it is the Embassy suites, is it never won before? It is not on the hotellist.PS I did not know I had to keep the HOTWIRE question in the same tread because my other question was about PRICELINE. Link to comment

Romelle
Members go back and forth between PL and HW all the time. As long as it is the same stay, it works better to keep everything together in one place. It tells the whole story that way. Then when things are ultimately resolved, the admins move it to the correct location (if a move is necessary).Romelle Link to comment
