Panic - buying during the big Govt Shutdown! We already had a very cute motel suite (full kitchen) booked for the night of 5th October but we had to change our plans to try and stay somewhere in Page for 4th, as well.

So “on the road” we didn’t have time to do PRICELINE. So we got a “HOTWIRE hot rate” deal – not so very hot!! Only plus was they had a laundry room, so we could catch up with washing. Then the next night we moved into our motel right opposite which was half the price (I had fixed it up in January).
