Hotwire Hotel: 4* Fort Lauderdale (Lauderdale-by-the-Sea) Away Inn

Hi there,

Anyone got some experience of getting the wrong hotel?

I just booked for 1 night in Ft Lauderdale a 4 star hotel. But when I look at Hotels.com it is a 3 star hotel:

The Away Inn

And the price is the same at their website as the price I booked it for.

What is the best I can do now?

I called with Hotwire, they told me it was a 3 star hotel. But because they have good ratings, Hotwire rates it as a 4 star hotel, so they can't change it. But it really sounds strange to me, doesn't it?

If you're not, for future purchases please change the drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase stay on the US version of their site and simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase.

But regarding my question? Can they just give me a 3 star hotel, while their website says it is a 4 star hotel.

I also only have 6 dollar discount in stead of the original price :(

That's right. I just started discovering Hotwire. A lot of options available. But I always start from this site, that's a beginning ;-)
