globetrotter16 Posted November 22, 2013 Report Posted November 22, 2013 Hello,I am going to be in NYC from December 6th to 9th (3 nights). Looking for a 3.5*+. Took a first crack but am already up to my limit with several zones added. Willing to start from scratch with some help from the experts here. :) Not picky about zone except for want to be on the main island and not in the financial district. Any help would be much appreciated. Ideally including fees would be <$150 per night.Thx in advance!!
AaronJB Posted November 22, 2013 Report Posted November 22, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Unfortunately, this is square in the middle of one of the busiest periods of the year w/holiday shopping and festivities. Have you already gone up to $150 for these dates? Unfortunately, I think you are likely looking at around $200 for midtown for these date/s for 3.5+Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
globetrotter16 Posted November 23, 2013 Author Report Posted November 23, 2013 Haven't gotten to $150 yet and am on lockdown at the moment. I thought some people were successful in locking in rates around there but maybe I am coming in too late. :( Any thoughts on a bidding strategy?

Tiffytennis Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 I am going from dec 7 thru 13th and I was also wondering about bidding strategies. I have gotten to $150 for a 3.5 star and no luck. Is it too late or too early to get bids and maybe I'd be better off doing a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal? I really want to stay around 200 a night cause we are staying for 6 nights. I'd like to stay I around midtown east or midtown central or even Central Park south. Will this be possible? Any help would be appreciated, :)
