Froufie Posted November 19, 2013 Report Posted November 19, 2013 Booking one night pre-cruise dec 15 - looking for 2 rooms via hotwire.Used the bidding helper hotwire easy view - using amenities we need (airport shuttle and breakfast) - came up with three options.Having trouble identifying this 2 star ($45) as there is only one on the hotwire hotel list and it doesn't match. The amenities listed for the 2 star seem to match one of the 3 star hotels listed: Orlando Intl Airport MCO Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Self service laundry Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parkingIs it possible the 3 star I think it may be (county inn and suites) is now or once was a 2 star? Otherwise may be a 2 star that has not been reported yet?Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
thereuare Posted November 19, 2013 Report Posted November 19, 2013 I'm not currently seeing this property when searching HOTWIRE for your dates... are you still seeing this offered when searching for your dates and including 2rooms/4adults/0children in the search? (or are you searching for something other than this??)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Froufie Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 Yes I still see it - I am using your 'BiddingHelper.com' at the top of the page - entering dates (dec 15) - 2 rooms/1 night - and then clicking on hotwire easy view MCO only and 'airport shuttle' amenity - which brings up 4 properties - one of which is the 2 star at $45 mentioned above)....should I not be using the bidding helper and just go thru hotwire ' quick quote'?; - are these different?Help!P.S. Okay I just tried it using the quick quote - same dates - MCO only - amenities checked are free breakfast and airport shuttle - and I now see 3 properties = a 3 star at $65, another 3 star at $57 and a 2.5 star at $51? so the 2 searches are different? very confused now....But in any case if you can identify any of the 'available' hotels for me that would be greatly appreciated - thanks! :)
thereuare Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 I'm still not seeing this same offer, but if you are, my guess would be the Quality Inn Orlando Airport... a secondary guess would be the Sleep Inn and Suites (hard for me to verify without being able to see the same offer)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Froufie Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 Just to clarify what is the difference between using the BiddingHelper.com at top of page or the quick quote? As you can see I get different results using each of these......do you get the same result as I do with the HOTWIRE quick quote? did you try the bidding helper? What results did you see with the MCO airport area only - amenities chosen were airport shuttle and free breakfast?Trying to understand how these two options work!thanks
thereuare Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 The quick quote and the BiddingHelper.com each access HOTWIRE in a different manner... 95% of the time the results with be the same, but a small percentage of the time they may be different.I am still not seeing this property, regardless of whether i use the quick quote tab, or the EASY VIEW or HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com.You are on the US version of the site, correct? thereuare Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 I'm not currently seeing this property when searching HOTWIRE for your dates... are you still seeing this offered when searching for your dates and including 2rooms/4adults/0children in the search? (or are you searching for something other than this??)Apparently you are searching for 2rooms/4adults/1child which is the reason i was not able to previously see this property. I now do see the following 2* hotel in the MCO zone:Free Parking Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Shuttle Fitness Pool Business Laundry Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking My guess for this one would be the Quality Inn Orlando Airport or the Sleep Inn and Suites. If you'd like us to begin to look at the other offers, please try to filter it based upon your needs, budget, desired star rating, and by comparing the previous hotels offered. For instance, do you really want to stay in a 1* hotel for this trip? Is a 2.5* hotel offered at $50 a serious consideration when there is a 4* hotel in the same zone for $56/nite?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Froufie Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 Agreed - definitely don't want a 1 or 2 star - but since it is only for one night I am not super fussy as long as it meets our needs - travelling with 5 so the free breakfast is helpful as is the airport shuttle - we are landing around 9 pm and will be out of the hotel by 10 am the next morning.Would love help identifying the following hotels - hard to identify them on the hotel list as they are quite similar! 1) 4 star - 56.00USDper room per night*ContinueOrlando Intl Airport MCOFree BreakfastAirport ShuttleFitness CenterPool(s)Internet access2) 3 star at $53: Free Breakfast Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Internet accessAccessibility Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility3) 3 star at $54Free ParkingFree BreakfastAirport ShuttleFitness CenterPool(s)Internet access4) 2.5 star at $48 Free ParkingFree BreakfastAirport ShuttleSmoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)Business CenterSelf service laundryInternet accessthanks,jb
Froufie Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 Update - well I 'worked' thru the price for the 4 star at $56 for 2 rooms - and final total came to $143...before booking I decided to do some research on trip advisor on top rated MCO hotels - and found the very popular #4 rated Homewood suites at the Orlando airport with good reviews and the amenities we were looking for (shuttle, breakfast)Turns out they have a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite (with living room and kitchen) which would accommodate all of us and advance booking rate total came to $147 - almost same price so I ended up booking that! :)
