Priceline Hotel: Bidding Help- 4-4.5* in French Quarters

I am hoping to bid through priceline on a 4-4.5* hotel in the French Quarters for the dates of 12/27-12/30.

Hoping to stay in a higher quality 4* hotel such as W New Orleans or JW Marriott. Is the anyway to increase the likelyhood of one of these hotels?

Any suggestions as to where to start the bidding would be appreicated!

Price range is flexible.

There is no way to increase the odds of a particular property when bidding - if you attempt to bid more to try and get/avoid a particular property, you will likely overbid for the property you were trying to avoid. HOTWIRE - where you can make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing (although there is no guarantee the hotel you are looking for will be showing) is a better option.

What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?

Ideally, $100/night. Would be willing to go up to 150-175.

My guess is that a 4* hotel in the French Quarter-Canal Street zone will likely cost in the $120-$140 range... if you include the 'Downtown' zone you can likely get something closer to your lower $100 figure.
