Hi, I'm a first time poster, but have been a user/fan of the site for several years - I've booked some fab deals using the help on here (mainly London, but now Canada and NYC)!! :D I thought it was about time I say thanks and begin helping to identify hotels etc.

So, I have been fruitlessly bidding on Priceline for over a week, hoping to get the Sheraton New York Times Square after seeing other posts reporting wins of $110. I've stayed before and wanted a familiar 'safe' location for this visit as it's my first ever solo trip away from the UK.

After running out of rebids again I continued to stalk the rapidly changing rates on Hotwire and Priceline's Express Deals. I was delighted earlier this evening when the rates dropped on both sites and even gave me the additional choices of 4* TS $131 (Probably Westin TS) or 4.5* MTE $145 (Probably New York Palace).

I decided to stick with 4* MC $119 on Hotwire and bagged the Sheraton as hoped for.
