We (two families, 4 adults and 4 kids in total)are going for cruise in Jan from NYC, but would like to stay in NYC for two days. We are wondering what will be the best option, Jersey city or Manhattan. We need parking for two cars as well. So the parking rate is one factor to consider as well. Please give some suggestions.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

A few thoughts and questions:

1. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay? Jersey City is not going to be as expensive as Manhattan, but you will then have to take public transit in.

2. Unfortunately, parking in NYC is going to be pricey anywhere in the city.

3. HOTWIRE is going to be a better choice with 2 rooms/party of 8 total. Are there any listings that fall within your desired budget in Manhattan during these dates?

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm sorry that we have changed our plan. Now we decide to stay in NJ for one night only, then go to the port for the cruise for the 2nd day. So now we need a hotel better with free parking, not too far from NYC Manhattan port. Any suggestions that which region we should look into? Thanks again. Our budget is around 100-200/room and hopefully with decent room size.
