Priceline Hotel: 5* Strip South during Christmas

Just have a couple of questions before I pull the trigger:

-the 5* hotels for my area of choice are Aria, Cosmopolitan and Vdara, what is the chance of getting the Vdara, do people get it often? I would not mind either of the other 2 but really do not want Vdara.

-I do need the room to have 2 queen size beds instead of 1 king size, is it possible to guarantee this?

-finally anyone has experience with being in Vegas during Christmas? We will be there 24-26, anything to look out for? I've heard that it is less crowded during that time which is why we are going.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

-the 5* hotels for my area of choice are Aria, Cosmopolitan and Vdara...
There could always be others... see the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List

Yes, the Vdara does come up somewhat regularly... if you're trying to target/avoid a specific property then HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS would be a better option (since you can choose a hotel that lists Casino as an amenity in order to safely avoid the Vdara)
-I do need the room to have 2 queen size beds instead of 1 king size, is it possible to guarantee this?
This can't be guaranteed thru PRICELINE or HOTWIRE (unless the listing shows 'room choice' and two queen beds is listed as a booking option. Will you be more than two people OR are there just two but you don't want to share a bed?

Note that many Vegas hotels, especially at the higher star levels, now charge more for rooms with two beds and consider this to be an upgrade from 'standard' rooms... you can try to upgrade, either complimentary or paid at check-in, but no guarantees the hotel will be able, or willing, to do so.

-finally anyone has experience with being in Vegas during Christmas? We will be there 24-26...
Should be a relatively slow time.

What is your expected/maximum budget per nite for this trip?

Thank you for the response.

For Strip South those 3 are the only 5* hotels as I did use that list to check.

And yes I was looking into PRICELINE EXPRESS and it seems to be the way to go since it's only $7 more and I will know for sure that I can avoid Vdara.

As for the 2 bed situation it's for 2 people we just need separate beds that's all.

I did read up some more and someone said Christmas day is actually super packed, which makes me thinking of going there a day earlier and leave on the 25. If anyone has experience spending time there on Christmas day please share. Thanks.

As noted above, there is a comment at the top of every list that discusses that these are only the hotels that have been reported to the board - there definitely may be others not yet reported to the board (and new hotels and star rating changes are reported to the board daily.)

Are you seeing any listings of interest on PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE? If so, please provide the complete details (including all amenities, price, zone, star rating) for the listing/s and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
