Looking at the best way of booking two rooms for 5 occupants (adults) Either in the Millenium Park - The Loop - Grant Park area.

What are my best options? Looking for a 4* plus hotel. Thanks for the help in advance.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. If this is not a risk you're willing to accept, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc). The trade-off is that PRICELINE is usually a little cheaper than HOTWIRE.

So 'best' booking method to ensure accommodations for every one would be HOTWIRE, but if referring to the lowest price then PRICELINE would be 'best' (although this comes with the risk of occupancy issues)

I'm willing to take the risk with PriceLine. As next weekend doesn't seem to busy as its before thanksgiving. Hopefully the hotel can accommodate the necessary changes.

Are you only interested in the Millennium-Loop-GP area or would the River North-NMA area also be acceptable?

In terms of the Millennium-Loop-Grant Park zone, I'd start at $65 and work higher by $5's using re-bidding.

Please let us know if you have any questions before bidding.

If you bid for the Loop/Millennium Park/GP area, you can be anywhere within the area - you could wind up in the South or West Loop areas, which are not convenient to Mag Mile shopping if you are planning on spending a lot of time in the Michigan Ave area. Millennium Park is probably going to be cheaper and you can start at $65 as noted.

There is no guarantee in terms of two beds, but I will note that this is the largest hotel in the city and semi-quiet dates - hopefully the hotel will be able to work with you regarding room assignment. I would try to call the hotel or try [email protected]
