CT_traveler Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Hi all,I am new - just joined today. My husband is 40 and having open-heart surgery on Thursday in Boston. My mom is coming with us the night before so she can wait with me during the procedure the next day. Problem is that I need help figuring out the best way to get a really nice hotel at a good price, without high parking costs? Any suggestions. I need 2 rooms. One for my mom, and one for my husband and I. Thank you. Date I need the hotel is Nov 6th.

CT_traveler Posted November 3, 2013 Author Report Posted November 3, 2013 I am willing to stay anywhere in Boston (preferably near something I can walk to)...I wanted to spend no more than $129 since I have to pay for my mom's room too. I am not sure of the star-level, but clean and nice...maybe 3.5 to 4? The actual day of his surgery I did make a reservation directly with The Liberty Hotel for $269/night - but only because it is practically connected to MGH. Right next door. I'm trying to save $ the night before. Thanks so much!!!:)
thereuare Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 For a 4* hotel your best shot would be if you're willing to stay in the Seaport District, but this is not necessarily the most convenient part of the city and is outside of the 'core' of city. While $129 may fall short, i think you have a decent change at $150 or less. For anything in the center part of the city my guess is that you'll likely be looking at $150+.Please take a look at the star rating and PRICELINE zone(s) you'd like to try for, as well as confirm your maximum bid, and we can then suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. AaronJB Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 Sorry to hear about the surgery and hope everything will go okay! Unfortunately, parking is also likely going to be high in the core area/s of the city. There's currently a 4* PRICELINE Express deal for the Boston Common-Theater District for $157.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
