Priceline Hotel: 4* Oahu (Waikiki Beach) Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa

There seems to be a dearth of posted wins in Waikiki Beach so I want to share my experience.

Started with Waikiki Beach at $141 and got rejected. Got offered to resubmit using the same zone for $173 (which I didn't take.) I rebid by adding Honolulu Airport and raising to $149. Got the Marriott. Found out almost immediately afterwards that there is a $25 per night resort fee so that adds another $50 making my total outlay $401 (with taxes) for the two nights. Breakfast is not included.

I tried calling Priceline to ask whether I could switch to a non-resort hotel; I even offered to downgrade myself from a 4* to the 3* Hyatt Place and they wouldn't budge.
