Priceline Hotel: 5* Las Vegas (Strip North Vicinity - Condo) Trump International Hotel, Las Vegas

Unfortunately clicked NV - Las Vegas (Strip North Vicinity - Condo) on Priceline.com and got the Trump Hotel , no other 5* accepted my $ 146.00 a night bid, for check in 11/2 check out 11/5.

Had to request best price guarantee from Priceline as KAYAK.COM offered the same hotel for $ 143 a night for the same dates and included free cancelation. Priceline was not willing to give the same terms regarding the free cancelation , they only credited $3.00 for the price difference. To find ruth is absurd they should have matched their competitors terms at least.

Can anybody help or guide me if something can be done about this, as The Trump hotel is off the Strip and I was looking for a hotel right on the strip, to the point where I would have been willing to

pay more for a hotel on The Strip.

Can anybody tell me how good or a bud experience is staying at Trump LV.

Sorry to hear that you selected the wrong zone and received a hotel in an area you didn't intend.

Few comments:

1) did PRICELINE refund you $3/nite plus an additional $25

2) expecting them to honor the free cancellation terms of the other site is non realistic as that is not within the terms of your 'opaque' purchase

3) you can try speaking with PRICELINE and letting them know you made a mistake and if there is anything they can do as you really wanted something directly on the strip, but they are usually strict with their no refund/no changes and i'd put the chances of success pleading your case are low, but worth a shot as sometimes you can get a sympathetic agent to help in some way

The Trump is a nice hotel but the two biggest complains are the location and no casino. The location isn't that bad as it's about a 5-10 minute walk to the Wynn (i timed it at under 7 minutes) and they also run a free scheduled shuttle to the Strip if there are times you don't want to walk or are heading further south. Also, if the weather is not nice (too hot, too cold, raining (yes, i have seen rain in Vegas more than once)) you can cross the street of the Trump and cut thru the Fashion Show Mall and remain indoors the entire time until you exit by Treasure Island (and can head south from there). Also, note that inside the Fashion Show Mall there is an ABC Store which has 'regularly' priced beer, soda, wine, snacks, etc. that you can purchase and bring back to your room (substantially cheaper than mini-bar prices or buying elsewhere in the Trump)
