Tashin
Hi, I've been bidding for a 4* lax hotel for the last month. I've bidded up to $100 and still getting rejected. The dates are 13th Nov for one night. I see other bids are getting accepted around $80???Why!!!! Link to comment
thereuare
Rates are date specific and demand (and therefore hotel rates) for your dates may be higher then when others have had their bids accepted for less. Also, there are only two 'known' 4* hotels in this zone, so there just aren't that many hotels available to accept your bid.Using MAPS and HOTELS.com i'm seeing 4* hotels in this zone for your dates selling for $169/nite and $199/nite, making your $80 bid less than half of prevailing rates, which does not give you a very high chance of success. What is your maximum bid for a 4* hotel for this nite before lowing your star rating to the 3.5* or considering other zones? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Tashin
Ok thanks for the reply. Another $72 bid was accepted from someone else so I guess there's something happening on the 13th. I'll try $120 then probably go down a star. Link to comment
