mmcnell Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 Sunday December 1st, Express Deal of $42 a night plus coupon code "FALL5" for an additional 5% off for a total of $53.66 after taxes and fees, compared to $70.38 if booked directly through Baymont. Used the BiddingHelper.com to make the reservation. Unfortunately the TripAdvisor reviews for this hotel looks overwhelmingly negative in the past few months, with only 34% of people recommending it. A little disappointed with Priceline for listing such a hotel as a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal when it's not even available to book regularly through priceline, but I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best.
thereuare Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding!Sorry to hear you're disappointed in the outcome for this one but hopefully it will work out ok for your one nite stay and you'll find it to be a good value for the price paid. For future reference (as i'm sure you now know) you shouldn't use the 'retail' listings to determine the possibilities of what you may get from PRICELINE bidding or PRICELINE EXPRESS, as the three sides of their service all use a different universe of hotels. When booking PRICELINE EXPRESS they even state on the booking page:The hotel that is booked may or may not be one that you have seen during a hotel search on priceline.Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay... hope it goes better than expected. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
