Priceline Hotel: Honeymoon NYC Nov 8-11

Hello All - First time posting.

Myself and my soon to be wife are looking at NYC for our honeymoon from Nov 8 - Nov 11. We have a 6 AM departure on Nov 11 so a very early international check out.

Looking for something in Hell's Kitchen, Midtown. Fairly flexible but not really wanting the financial district.

We were thinking 200 plus taxes per night but would love a better deal of course.

I've been trying priceline at 170 ish 4 star hoping to snag something but no luck for the last week. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please show a Canadian some love. :-) Thank you.

Some options:

HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel in the MTE zone for $173/nite which i'm guessing is the Hilton New York Manhattan East, but with a low 60% recommendation by previous HOTWIRE guests i'd suggest looking elsewhere given that this is a Honeymoom stay.

PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 4* hotel in the ESB zone for $215/nite and using the discount code linked in my signature gives an extra 5% OFF bringing this down to $205/nite, just over your current budget.

HOWEVER, HOTWIRE has a 4.5* hotel in the Times Square zone for $230/nite which i'm guessing to be the well reviewed InterContinental Times Square.

Given your previous rejections for a 4* hotel up to $170, and if you are willing to bid higher, i would raise your star rating and try bidding for a 4.5* hotel on PRICELINE up to $200 (or even a little higher). While i'm not certain you will be successful, it's worth a shot as i do think the additional half star would be worth the extra $30/nite, if it's within your budget.

Thanks for the quick response. I used the links you provided to Hotwire but I couldn't see the 4.5* hotel in the Times Square zone for $230/nite. The rate I was getting for the only 4.5* was 255. That is the hotel with a 95% recommendation rate. I will continue to look.

In the BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW tab the 4.5* is priced at $242/nite... are you interested in this hotel at this (or the $230/nite) price as i don't think the current price changing $10-$20/nite is that important if the objective is to try bidding on PRICELINE at the 4.5* level.
