cardinalfan1958 Posted October 28, 2013 Report Posted October 28, 2013 My wife and I were planning a short getaway at the first of December. My brother-in-law has been called back for active duty and will be leaving at the same time for a 12 month tour. Is there any way I can cancel this trip and receive some sort of refund? We think it would be best to stay at home with the family before he leaves. I did purchase the travel insurance if that helps my case. Thanks for the help.

its me Posted April 18, 2014 Report Posted April 18, 2014 To the admin.......I was wondering if you have an answer for this gentleman above. Yes, it would have been nice to hear the winning bid but we just as much wanted to hear the answer to his question. Would purchasing trip protection help at all in his situation? Thank you
thereuare Posted April 18, 2014 Report Posted April 18, 2014 I would have to read thru the terms of the policy but my guess: The OP would not be eligible for a refund as the person being deployed is not himself nor an immediate member of his family. IF it was he that was being deployed and therefore couldn't make the trip i would think that most policies cover such a situation, but whether this one actually does or not i couldn't say.
