Priceline Hotel: 4* Miami (Coral Gables - Coconut Grove Area)

I was trying to bid for a 4 star property in Coral Gables area of Miam1 11/14/13 - 11/15/13.

Using your strategy I had used for rebids by adding areas without 4 star or higher hotels. THANKS!

The amenities initially shown were Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, Guest Score 7/10 or Higher

As I added more areas they have down to only Guest score 7/10 or higher.

I was NOT successful at any of these prices on a 4* hotel in Coral Gables. $66 $71 $77 $85 $96

Based on past successes and the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins I thought I had a very good chance at ALL of those prices.

Certain times of the year are must just be more difficult than others.

What is the deal with pet friendly hotels? One of the 3* Hotels in Coral Gables lists that as its ONLY amenity. Doggie Day care hotel?

Please keep all posts for the stay in the same thread.

Pet Friendly means that the hotel allows pets... some hotels don't allow any pets, so this amenity is important to those who are traveling with dogs/cats.

For the HOTWIRE property I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool, and then click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above?

HOWEVER, are you willing to pay $119/nite for this stay thru HOTWIRE OR would you first sooner bid higher on PRICELINE? If price is the most important aspect, i'll also point out that PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 4* hotel in this zone for $122/nite and using the discount code linked in my signature gives another 5% OFF bringing this to $116/nite.

At $117 on Hotwire Easy View, just slightly lower but the same property.

I'm up for trying priceline again, but once I get fairly close to Hotwire offering prices I'll just go with Hotwire when within $15 to $20 dollars,

recognizing they may be different properties between the 2 companies.

Ideally on this one I would rather be more in Coral Gables and less in Coconut Grove, regardless of the price.

There is still a three star there for $104 ONLY offering pet friendly. Which is good to know since this is a negative for my severe cat allergies. But the ONLY amenity available seems weird as I have not seen this in the past.

This amenity set has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but my guess would be a new amenity set for the Mayfair.
