This is a very nice Hyatt Regency. Nice building, nice spacious and clean rooms, everything in working order. I was very pleased. Got a corner room on the 11th floor. The tower is about 25 floors.

The room had a work desk and a sitting area with a couple of couches and a coffee table; a large TV; a dresser and a huge closet; iron and board; two phones with two lines; coffee maker. No minibar. This may have been a better than standard room, since I'm a Diamond.

Parking is expensive at the hotel, but I didn't need it because street parking was readily available and the meters don't operate on Sundays. If you're there on a weeknight, there are parking lots nearby with $3-$5 overnight rates.

Local phone calls (unlimited duration): $1.00

High-speed Internet: free Wi-Fi in the lobby area. Wired in the room - not sure if $$.

Newspaper: by the room door every morning.

Nice fitness center, hot tub and sun deck.

Front desk: very friendly.

As a Diamond, I got a coupon for a snack and a non-alcoholic drink at the lobby bar. I opted for the chicken strips. The thing was huge, so that took care of dinner. For the Diamond amenity, I chose the truffles - very good. And then free continental breakfast at the Brasserie.

I needed an incidental charge for an FFN, so made a dummy local call, but before checking out I noticed (on the TV account status screen) that it wasn't charged. So took one of the two bottles of water in the room with me, and asked the desk to charge to my Mastercard. At $4.32, this was the most expensive bottle of water I've ever purchased... but worth it for the FFN.

Very good experience, I'm sure I'll be back.

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Hyatt West Hollywood won through Priceline at $58 a night. I had no hiccups during check-in and was given a room with a king-sized bed as requested earlier. The quality of the room and furnishings exceeded my expectations for the price paid. My fiancee and I had no problems with noise, smell, cleanliness or service.

We parked the car at the hotel garage for $18 a night and always found a spot. You save a lot of hassle doing so (in-out privileges) and it will make the holiday much more enjoyable. However, spaces were small and could potentially cause problems if you had a large car, SUV or van. The location is great and there's plenty of restaurants around. I particularly enjoyed grabbing a coffee from Starbuck every morning just 2 doors away on the left. Nearby attractions include Comedy Clubs, West Sunset Blvd shopping, and strip clubs too, if you're into that sort of thing. The concierge has a local map with directions to all of LA's major attractions from the hotel which are easy to get to with a car.

Total for 4 nights with taxes, fees and parking came to $328. Having travelled extensively over the past 3 years, I think this hotel represents excellent value, perfect for a hassle free holiday. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
