smartflyer324 Posted October 23, 2013 Author Report Posted October 23, 2013 I am trying to get the Eden Roc on priceline for Dec 15-18. If I specify the Miami Beach area 4* it includes 2 hotel options, Eden Roc and The Palms hotel - is there a chance I could end up with the palms or is that unlikely with bidding?
thereuare Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread, and if you haven't yet, please read your messages. You can't use the 'retail' side of PRICELINE to determine what you will get when bidding, the two sides of their service use a different universe of hotels. When bidding on PRICELINE there is no way to bid on or target a specific property, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
