Nzep1 Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 HiBoth TI and The Mirage has a daily resort fee of $28.00 (tax inclusive $25 + tax). Although both hotels have similar amenities list, the chances are that it is TI as the Mirage (according to posts in BB forums) does not appear often at the winning posts.Nzep.
thereuare Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 The above is correct... this matches both the Mirage and Treasure Island, and while you need to be open to the possibility of either, Treasure Island is seen much more frequently and that would be my best guess for this one. Some hotels show the resort fee before taxes/fees and others after taxes/fees, that is the difference between the $25/$28 price shown. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. StuartUK Posted November 1, 2013 Author Report Posted November 1, 2013 cheers :) :)When converted to GBP (British Pound £ )The Hotwire rate works out to cost more, and as far as I know, the resort fee is optional with TI......I got time, so hopefully a super deal will pop up!cheers for reply :)

If that were true, the Trop is $20 resort fee + tax ? ($22.40 ??) that don't tally with being told $18 resort fee!Other that springs to mind is NYNY, that has $18 resort fee ????Luxor is 3* as far as I am aware ? and charge $20 resort fee......... So Trop or NYNY ???
StuartUK Posted November 1, 2013 Author Report Posted November 1, 2013 think I answered my thread...Going through the Hotwire website, and checking NYNY and Trop, there resort fees show as $20...Reading through 'Luxor', this shows $18 per night resort fee on the Hotwire website, with a booking rate of $44 per night..Most confusing, as the most star rating I have seen for the Luxor is 3.5*No way is it 4 !I wonder though, if I booked, and got told it was the Luxor, could I argue with Hotwire that the Luxor is NOT a 4* hotel, and get my money back or put me in an actual 4* ??????
thereuare Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 Every service rates hotels according to their own criteria, and at the moment, HOTWIRE considers this to be a 4 star property and that is the star rating you would have go by. As well, while you might be able to make a case if you received something that was drastically over rated you might be able to make a case for yourself, but as star ratings are subjective it's very difficult to argue over a half a star. Not 100% which site you're searching on, but please change the drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase stay on the US version of their site and simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too!
