Amandatravel Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 Hello,I did a search using your Quickquote Hotwire button.I got this:Toronto Downtown West 4* with 90% Customer Recommended for $116.00 before taxes and recovery. These are the complete list of amenities after clicking through to "Buy Now"Pet friendlyIndoor pool(s)Smoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterInternet accessAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in showerI'm really flummoxed! The closest I can gather is the Hyatt Regency or the Sheraton. Not sure the Sheraton would be the quietest location for an overnight getaway given it is across the street from the Zombie walk. But that might not be a deal breaker.
thereuare Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 The Sheraton Centre would be my best guess for the one above (i'm seeing another 4* hotel in this zone, slightly more expensive at $145/nite with few amenities listed, which i believe is the Hyatt if that is of interest to you)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Amandatravel Posted October 23, 2013 Author Report Posted October 23, 2013 Thanks, I will definitely go through your site to book if I decide to book this weekend. Just to clarify when you mentioned the Hyatt in your response, do you mean the Hyatt Regency? (Not sure there is more than one Hyatt in the Toronto Downtown West area).
Amandatravel Posted October 23, 2013 Author Report Posted October 23, 2013 Further to that, I guess I'm hoping it's the Park Hyatt, rathar than the Regency for the $$ offered on Hotwire. But Park Hyatt might be a 4.5 *. The reviews are kinda 'meh' for Hyatt Regency. I'm so desperate for a break that I'm caught up in a quagmire of indecision!
AaronJB Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 The Hyatt Regency. You can also see the HOTWIRE hotels reported to the board in Toronto here: Hotwire Hotel List CanadaThank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Amandatravel Posted October 24, 2013 Author Report Posted October 24, 2013 Hello,Okay so the options have changed a little. I did a quick quote (through your site) and found this for the same date:4* Toronto Downtown West with 85% recommendations for 149.00 (before taxes and recovery) The amenities are as follows:Pet friendly Fitness Center Restaurant(s)Business CenterInternet accessAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingAny ideas on the hotel? Secondly, is this likely to drop over the next day or so? Can I still get a better deal on a Downtown toronto hotel if I just hang in there and book last minute?

Amandatravel Posted October 28, 2013 Author Report Posted October 28, 2013 Hello, Just to close off this thread I should tell you that I didn't end up booking anything. Too last minute to get any real deals. One did sort of pop up last minute that I figured out to be most likely the Pantages and based on their trip advisor reviews decided to save myself the $$.
