Hi guys,

New to the 'bidding' community and I've been using your links and tricks to try to secure a hotel in Paris.

My dates are March 3 - 6, 2014. I'm travelling solo.

Areas I wouldn't mind are:

Eiffel Tower

Both Opera's

Montparnasse

& Champs Elysees - Arc De Triomphe

There are a few Priceline Express deals now. Just wondering if anyone has any idea what they are;

4 Star Hotel in Montparnasse Area for $97/night

Free Internet available

Pets Allowed

Restaurant

Fitness Center

4 Star Hotel in Eiffel Tower Area for $141/night

Free Internet available

Indoor Swimming Pool

Pets Allowed

Restaurant

Any other tips or suggestions for me?

Googling Eiffel Tower & pool - seems to only bring up the Novotel. Are there any other hotels in the area that have a pool?

Gathering reviews on Hotwire but 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor

Should I do it? The rating on Tripadvisor makes me excited cause of the location.

Apologies, I thought to separate the hotwire/priceline hotels.

I would probably like better. What i've got tentatively booked is cheaper/looks the same as the Les Jardins.

What do you think about the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals?

Neither of the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals have been reported to the board.

I don't have a guess for the Montparnasse property, but my guess for the Eiffel Tower property would be the Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel.

Where, and how much, is your back-up hotel?

I'm not in a rush to find a hotel. I might a few days to see if anything new pops up on HOTWIRE / PRICELINE that will interest me, and post back on this forum.

The only big negative I don't like about this pre-booked property is the location - id rather be around the Arc De Triomphe area.

It's called the Atelier Montparnasse Hotel and judging by TripAdvisor it has great reviews. Rooms look clean & modern too. $123/night and that is refundable.

Unfortunately this porperty has not yet been reported to the board and with no unique amenities for this area i don't have any insight as to which one this may be.

Using your HOTWIRE links, I got the Novotel Paris Gare Montparnasse using Hotwire. It was the one above I was talking about for $110, which lowered in price to $100. Decided to take the risk, and I'm very happy.

My dates were from the 02 March - 06 March 2014.

4* TripAdvisor rating

$100/night "Standard Rate: $208"
