Looking to book a room from 10/24-10/27, preferably in Midtown East. Haven't used Priceline before, but want to give it a shot.

Would like 4*+, Would also like to be under $300 per night, all in.

Would like the best hotel at this price level.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

We would be happy to suggest a strategy for a 4* hotel in only the MTE zone, but since you're new to PRICELINE i will first ask if this is the only zone that is acceptable for your plans this trip? By including all zones that are acceptable you increase the number of hotels that are able to accept your bid, which means the best deal/lowest price possible.

For most users at the 4* level the MTE, MTW, TS, CPS, ESB and MSG zones all work out fine and are generally considered to be well located, but you know your plans better than we do and if you need to specifically be in the MTE zone OR if the location is flexible.

Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Thanks for your reply!

I have friends that live in Murray Hill, so would like to be as close to that area as possible. I know MTE is in that area, but would be open to MTW if it gives some additional options.

Thanks, in advance, for all of your help!

Actually Murray Hill is in PRICELINE's Empire Stat Building zone... should we include this and MTE in your bidding? Do you also want to include MTW or not?

Let us know the above and we'll take it from there.

When bidding 4* in NYC You have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

I would do this in two steps/days:

Select 4* MTE...

Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $190, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Select 4* ESB...

Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $190, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Select 4* MTE and ESB...

Bid $200, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $210, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $215

If the above is rejected wait 24 hours and re-try (once again using a PRICELINE link from the board, and NOT a link in any emails that PRICELINE may send letting you know that you're eligible to bid again):

Select 4* MTE...

Bid $220, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $225, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $230, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Select 4* ESB...

Bid $220, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $225, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $230, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Select 4* MTE and ESB...

Bid $233, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $235, if rejected add re-bid zone and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Bid $238

If the above is rejected PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 4* hotel in the MTE zone for $252/nite (Pets Allowed, Business Center, Fitness Center), but using the discount linked in my signature below gives an additional 5% OFF bringing the room rate down to $240/nite and you can take that one.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
