Traveling to Chicago with the family for a couple of days at museums.

Started at $70 with a suggested counter at $86.

Targeted River North and Gold Coast 3.5 stars and added:

Hyde Park

Midway Airport North

Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area

North Michigan Ave - River North Area

Skokie - Niles - Evanston

Which don't have 3.5 start hotels.

Like that this hotel has free internet.

All rooms will accommodate up to 2 adults. Requests for bed types (King, Queen, 2 Doubles, etc.) or other special needs (including preferences for smoking or non-smoking rooms) should be requested through your confirmed hotel and cannot be guaranteed.
Should I be concerned about getting beds for the 4 of us traveling as a family?

Congratulations on your success!

Glad to see you're happy with the results.

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel. You can call the hotel now to request a room with two beds, but there is no assurance that the hotel will be able, or willing, to accommodate your request (it depends upon a lot of factors, the most important being hotel occupancy levels for your dates, in addition to hotel policy, what is available at the time you check-in, mood of the front desk clerk, etc, etc.)

Thank you for sharing your win with the board.

This property has had some reports of a little difficulty in the past when it comes to two beds, but I would contact the hotel and try to work something out. The rooms at this property are a little on the small side (this was an older property that was nicely renovated), but they are very bright and open and do feel a little larger than they are as a result. I would suggest asking for a room on a higher floor, as it will likely result in more natural light, given how this property is situated.

This is actually in a very nice spot from the standpoint of: it's very convenient to bus and subway - there is a red line station 2-3 blocks away; the Zoo (great zoo + free) is a relatively easy walk North of the hotel as is the Old Town area and it's a quick walk to the top end of the NMA area. This is on the opposite side of downtown from the museum campus, but the subway is right there (although it's a bit of a walk from the station to the museum campus) and there are bus options.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
