Got a winning bid for $24/day for a total of $159.70 including taxes & fees.

Begin at $18, $20, $22, counter-offered $27 (rejected), re-offered at $24 and finally win (nowadays Priceline offers a second chance of bidding at the same time within the same car category).

Offered other bids at (maximum) Compact $21, Standard $23, Full-size $25 with no success.

I got a hefty discount from the $271.03 that Hertz offered me directly from their site.

I do use the PRICELINE link of Better Bidding.

Thanks for you support for finding a sound bidding strategy! Hope this info will help others.
