Harv07 Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 This is my first visit to NY and have a budget of approx $235/night the hotels I have seen on Hotwire that look ok are the following wondered if anyone could identify them Downtown 4* 90%$177Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Or ESB 4* 85%$216Free Internet Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Or if there is anything that looks better, I am flexible on area as long as it is close to transport networks, Many thanks
thereuare Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! The amenities for the Downtown property above are quite common for a 4* hotel in NYC and the Doubletree Financial District, Gild Hall and SoHo Grand have all been seen with this amenity set previously, so any of these are likely, but there could still be others.Best guess for the ESB property would be the St Giles The Court.I'm seeing quite a few in between these prices as well... if you let us know what made you choose these two we can advise as to which properties may better suit your needs or if these are the best options for your dates. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Harv07 Posted October 10, 2013 Author Report Posted October 10, 2013 Thanks for your quick reply. It was the hotwire percentage and trip advisor rating that made me ask about these two.
AaronJB Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 Are you looking for anything in particular in terms of hotel, style-wise? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Harv07 Posted October 10, 2013 Author Report Posted October 10, 2013 No not really, just looking for something with good reviews in a good area for transport, bars and restaurants local. I was going to book the Westin Grand Central due to recommendations on trip advisor but like a bargain so thought hotwire might be good. We are in our 30s and like eating, drinking and will be seeing the usual sights if that's a help. Oh and a bit of shopping if we have time.
AaronJB Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 I'm seeing the potential Mansfield for $166, potential Roosevelt for $173, Hilton Manhattan East for $201 (reg rate), New Yorker $184. Would any of these be of interest?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 To the list above i'll also add what appears to be the 4.5* rated New York Palace for $234/nite... a little higher priced then the ones above, but higher rated as well. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
