firefam31
Would so appreciate help in getting a nice place to stay for a reasonable price. Thinking $60, hopefully something near landfall. 10/18/13 - 10/20/13. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! There is no way to target, or avoid, a particular part of a zone... are you willing to accept a hotel anywere within the shaded region of the 'Wilingon' zone? Also, did give a quick look at HOTWIRE and they divide this area into smaller zones which if you're looking for something in a particular area may be better for your goals this trip.Let us know the information above and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. firefam31
Yes, 3* Wilmington, NC (not South, Central, or Wrightsville Beach). Hotwire definately the Dixon Heights area. I feel confident that as long as it's a 3* in that area we'd be good! Not sure that it's possible for $60 though. Thanks for the help! Link to comment
thereuare
HOTWIRE has a 3* hotel in the Dixon Heights-UNCW zone with for $65/nite with:Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Hi-Speed Internet, BusinessMy best guess for this property would be the Best Western Plus University Inn. Assuming this is convenient for your plans, do you want to stretch your budget an extra $5 and take this HOTWIRE offer OR try bidding on PRICELINE and hope that you land in a part of the zone that you're hoping for? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. firefam31
Decided to go Priceline, upped my price to $70 for a 3*, figuring I wouldn't get it for $60 or $65 if a 2.5* was $65. Didn't get it, they countered with $83, thought what the heck. Got Courtyard by Marriott 3* for $83 a night for 2 nights. Used the PRICELINE link on this website! Thanks for the help! Maybe next time I'll be a little smarter and dig further before bidding, but I'm satisfied! Hope I'll be more than satisfied after I've been there! Link to comment
