Priceline Hotel: Maui - Wailea - Makena

Hi all,

On priceline express deals- they have a 4.5 star hotel - guest rating 8.0 at $286 a night in Maui, area is Wailea-Makena.

The little icons show swimming pool business center and fitness center. I am looking at 1/5/14 - 1/11/14

What could this hotel be?

Also , my question is that is the grand wailea not listed on priceline? when i look at your map i dont see it.

My guess for this property would be the Grand Wailea.

Since this an extended stay, if you'd like increased confidence before committing to the complete stay, you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay.

This property does not appear in our Priceline Maps, nor in the Priceline Hotel List, since it has not yet been reported to the board as a 'win' (so it's unconfirmed if they participate with PRICELINE's "name your own price" or even PRICELINE EXPRESS).

Thanks for the info! Is there any chance the hotels on your maps listed at 4 stars could actually be the hotel they list at 4.5 stars? Just trying to figure it out because your map shows no 4.5 stars in that area.

It's possible if a hotel has been upgraded since last reported to the board.

On the Priceline Maps page if you look at the box on the lower left side we list the "Last Visit" so that you can get sense of how recently the hotel has been reported to the board. As well, if you click the VIEW link to the left of last visit, you can see all the individual reported wins to the board for that hotel linked back to the original post on the board (which also gives a sense of which hotels are won more frequently then others). ;)
