thereuare Posted October 1, 2013 Report Posted October 1, 2013 Please start by reading your messages...2xFor each of these properties I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool, and then click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? (or on the HOTWIRE tab you'll need to click the offer, then click BOOK NOW, then hover your mouse over the 'See all' link in the TRIP SUMMARY box)Given the drastically higher price of the third hotel are you willing to spend over $200/nite for this stay? (for a 2.5* property??)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Horsezgirl Posted October 1, 2013 Author Report Posted October 1, 2013 Using your HOTWIRE easy view I get higher prices for hotel 1 and 2 and no hotel 3 the $200+ a night one. While the $200+ a night could be worth it, depending on which property it is down there, it probably isn't what I want for this trip. thereuare Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 HOTWIRE often fluctuates their rates a little from one search to the next and sometimes you'll find one tab to more/less expensive then the other, just buy whichever is cheapest ;) In my previous post above i indicated how you can see the complete list of amenities when using the HOTWIRE TAB as well.Best guess for the Kill Devill Hills property would be the Ramada Plaza Nags Head Beach, downgraded to the 2.5* level since the last time it was reported to the board.... although at the moment i'm seeing an entirely different property offered:Free Parking Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Pet Friendly Hi-Speed Internet Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Handicapped Parking ... my best guess for this one would be the Comfort Inn North Oceanfront. My guess for the Kitty Hawk-Duck property would be the Holiday Inn Express Kitty Hawk Beach. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Horsezgirl Posted October 4, 2013 Author Report Posted October 4, 2013 Gave up on HOTWIRE. Ended up trying to bid on PRICELINE and didn't get anything in my price range. So I directly booked with a motel online and used my AAA membership for a oceanfront hotel with king bed for under $100.
