Marmarinka Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Hi! Please help!I used the HOTWIRE link.Dates: 10/26/13-10/28-132 adults + 1 childMadison Square Garden - Hell's Kitchen area$266, 3.5*, 100% recommendedAmenities: Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf
yellowdog Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post. HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process. Can you please run a new search through bord's BiddingHelper.com on top of the page. Please copy and paste the amenities and price you'll see in the Easy View tab and we'll have a look at this.Thanx for using board's HOTWIRE links Yellowdog.

thereuare Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 An upgrade of the Staybridge Suites Times Square since the last time it was reported to the board would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Marmarinka Posted September 30, 2013 Author Report Posted September 30, 2013 The area is Madison Square Garden, and Staybridge Suites Times Square belongs to Time Square area, doesn't it?Do you think Staybridge Suites Times Square will give us Double Room with Two Double Beds with City View or it can be room with one bed?
thereuare Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 The area is Madison Square Garden, and Staybridge Suites Times Square belongs to Time Square area, doesn't it?No, this hotel is located on 40th St. near Ninth Ave, which if you look at HOTWIRE's zone boundary for this location, is within the MSG-HK zone.Do you think Staybridge Suites Times Square will give us Double Room with Two Double Beds with City View or it can be room with one bed?Since you are searching for 2adults/1child the room will have to accommodate triple occupancy... while this usually means two beds in the room, it could be one double bed and a pullout sofabed or rollaway brought into the room... as this would still satisfy the hotel's agreement for triple occupancy, but i don't believe it would be just one double bed for three people with no other sleeping accommodations provided (as i don't believe industry standards support that this would qualify as triple occupancy). Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Marmarinka Posted September 30, 2013 Author Report Posted September 30, 2013 Thank you very much for such a full answer!Do you think it is good time to reserve my dates? Or should I wait a week or two for lower prices?
AaronJB Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Waiting until closer to the date/s of travel does not always result in lower prices (and lower prices as the date/s get closer have been seen less and less over the last few years as rates overall have gone up.) Rates can certainly stay the same or go higher and this is a busy period in NYC.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Unfortunate there is no way to know if rates will come down, or move higher, over the next few weeks. This is an expensive time of year in NYC and occupancy for more than double occupancy can also limit your options, so if you're happy with the price, level of discount, and the hotel offered then you may just want to lock it up now. It also comes down to if this this a specific hotel and/or zone that you're looking for and how flexible you are with respect to star rating, zone, and the hotel you receive... if this is one of the hotels you had your heart set on then it weighs more to making your purchase now; if you're flexible to other areas (should this hotel disappear and/or go up in price that makes this purchase prohibitive) then you can consider waiting.I am seeing other well reviewed hotels at a similar price point... what is it that you're looking for from this stay? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
