Need some bidding advice. I need a hotel in SFO from 10/14 thru 10/22. I would like to get a 3.5* or better and don't want to spend more than $120 per night. My areas of preference (in order) are:

1) Fisherman's Wharf

2) Union Sq East

3) Union Sq West

Thoughts on how to bid this would be appreciated.

What is more important... your price or zone? (ie- would you prefer to pay more for a hotel in the FW zone or pay less for a hotel in the USE/USW zones?)

Also, priceline doesn't use a 3.5* rating in their rating system, did you want to stick with 4* properties to start or consider 3*?

Sorry about the 3.5* confusion, too much time spent on Hotwire. In any case I'm willing to accept a 3 or 4* in any of the zones if I can stay under $120 night. Price is actually more important than location as long as it's either FW, USE or USW. I'd obviously prefer a 4*, but have had good luck with 3* in the past so I'm willing to go to that level if necessary.

So, its: Quality, Price then location.

Bid $115 on USE Failed

Bid $125 on USE/FW Failed

Bid $135 on USE/USW/FW Failed

Bid $155 on USE/USw/FW/Cathedral Hill and got

Club Quarters

Based on the amenities on Hotwire I believe that it was $170 on there. Orbitz shows $180.25.
