I'm thinking its either the Room Mate Grace or Hotel Manhattan. Makes a big difference considering these hotels appear to be nothing alike. Help is much appreciated.

In your opinion, is this a good price for the Room Mate Grace Hotel? I am thinking that I will either book now, or wait until last minute and try booking though Priceline's bidding platform. I have had success with last minute bidding in the past.

This is not a slow period in NYC and there have been less instances of prices improving in the last minute. There is no way to know if rate/s will come down closer to your stay, but it is a definite risk that they could stay the same or go higher for a period like this.

Before settling on the 3.5* with HOTWIRE, I tried bidding a few more times with PRICELINE. I ended up landing the Intercontinental Times Square for $170/night (this is a 4.5* hotel). The best part is, because Hotwire's fees seem to be higher, the total for the Intercontinental actually came out to only $14 more than the supposed Room Mate Grace (Intercontinental was $417 for two nights after fees, HOTWIRE deal was $403). Really happy with my purchase. Thanks again for all your help.
