RN4KU Posted September 26, 2013 Author Report Posted September 26, 2013 My Dates are November 8th-12th 2013. $75-100 dollars per night. Hoping for Hotel with Casino and resort with an indoor pool area. Mandalay Bay and Four Seasons are top Family Picks with kids.
thereuare Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property (and choose a hotel that shows a Casino amenity if this is important to you), but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates. Also, note that Indoor Pools are not that common in Las Vegas.Based upon the above let us know if you're willing to accept any hotel in the zone(s) that you bid, if you must have an Indoor Pool and/or Casino, and if/how you'd like to move forward. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! RN4KU Posted October 2, 2013 Author Report Posted October 2, 2013 I am looking to book at the Luxor for the Dates of Nov 8th - 12th, the reason I choose this hotel is that I am needing a hotel that has reasonably priced suite, I need a seperate Living area with a pull out couch. I dont necessarily need a seperate bedroom, but I need 2 Queen beds and a pull out couch. This is a challenge most rooms are either basic and just 2 beds or 300 per night, I would like a hotel with a Casino also and on the stip. After tons of reasearch it seems the Luxor is the best deal $161.00 on their website. If I win the Luxor regular room, is it possible to get an upgrade if I call after I book?
AaronJB Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 One can certainly ask at the hotel level about upgrades after bidding, but the hotel can definitely say no. I would not go in expecting an upgrade when using the discount services, but sometimes people do get lucky or the hotel requires an "upgrade fee". It may depend on the day, hotel or even who you talk to.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 Why not try for two rooms thru PRICELINE / HOTWIRE... i think you can come very close to, if not less, thank the $161/nite rate you're seeing at the Luxor. The Luxor is not close in quality to the 5* hotels you were originally seeking for this stay, and the location is quite far on the south end of the strip if you intend to do a bit of exploring on the strip. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.... or our LUXOR LINK as also found in our Support Page should you decide to book direct.Let us know what you ultimately decide or how we can be of further help.
