Paolo Maldini Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 Greetings! I'm planning to visit New York with my wife from 8 to 15 Oct. I'm looking for 3-star or above hotels. My budget would be USD150-200 per night. My preferred zones are Central Park South, Chelsea, Empire State Building Area, Madison Square Garden, Midtown East, Midtown West and Time Square. I used to get hotels in LA, Vagas and SFO from Priceline about 3 years ago. However this time it seems to be more difficult... Please give me some advice. Many thanks!

Paolo Maldini Posted September 20, 2013 Author Report Posted September 20, 2013 Thanks for the reply. Actually I have two periods in NYC - 5-7OCT (preferrably near and 8-15OCT. I tried $120 for 3* Lower East Area, then added SOHO for $150, then added Chelsea for $180 but all failed.
thereuare Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 Is this two separate stays, Oct 5-7 and then Oct 8-15 that you need (and you're staying someplace else the nite of Oct 7) or were you looking to SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID in order to try to save money? Can you please clarify your dates/travel plans so we can further research rates for your dates. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Paolo Maldini Posted September 20, 2013 Author Report Posted September 20, 2013 Thanks for the quick reply. I will be out of town on 7Oct. BTW, I already booked a hotel for 5-7Oct in a local website (I had some vouchers there). So what I need is 8-15Oct.
thereuare Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 As noted this is high season for NYC and these dates are no exception to the high seasonal pricing... i think you're likely looking in the $200-$225 range for a 3* hotel in the zones that you're bidding (including other nearby zones won't hurt, but i'm not sure how much it would help either, as pricing looks high across the board at this point)If you let us know your current maximum bid and all acceptable zones we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks.
