New Topic posted - My dates for NYC are 10/11-10/14 and wanted to know if bidding $170 for a 3* was reasonable? We don't really have a specific zone that we're looking at, but would like to be more centrally located than the Financial District. And really just looking for the lowest possible 3* we can get with $170 per night before taxes. New to New York City and new to PRICELINE so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If that doesn't work for us, would $170 in a 2* be reasonable to obtain? I've read about different zones but don't have a preference in order to list them - I only know that we'd prefer not to stay around the Financial District, SoHo or the Lower East Side if possible.
thereuare Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 The most frequently bid zones, and are all considered centrally located (with the caveats noted below), are MTE, MTW, TS, CPS, ESB, MSG, and Chelsea.But a few notes for each zone:MTE - most hotels are well located near a subway, but the ONE New York is located a bit far east in the zone and can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway.
