Priceline Hotel: 3.5* DC (Capitol Hill - Convention Center) Courtyard By Marriott Convention Center

I'm from Singapore and thought of using Priceline to get a good deal in DC close to Thanksgiving and was not willing to pay more than $70/night including fees/taxes.

Since I am new to PRICELINE, I've been very conservative and started with a price of $55 for a 4* hotel in the Capitol Hill Convention Centre area over the last couple of weeks, then added in 3.5* for re-bids. I was quite sure it was not going to happen and was proven right.

However, I put in $60 for a 4* hotel in the same area today - failed, then added in Capitol South cos I was sure there was no 4* hotel there - failed again, then included 3.5* with a bid of $58 and WON!

So I got my hotel room @ $69.52 including fees/taxes as per my wish :)

Since I won the bid so easily, makes me wonder if I should have put in a cheaper bid... Another forum member also won the same hotel at $60 in September.
