Bruce22 Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Hi guys,First timer here.. Looking at staying in New York on the following dates:Check-in 23rd SeptemberCheck-out 26th September3* and aboveArea preference is Lower East Side and then Soho TriBeCa as a backup.Preferred budget is about 150/night. If we have to pay more then that's ok but a lower price is preferred over a higher hotel rating.Any help on the above??
thereuare Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm afraid you will likely need to pay a LOT more than your current $150 budget. Not sure if you have looked at regular retail rates for these dates yet, but the UN is in session which always causes a big spike in hotel rates, and you're likely looking in the $225 area if you're willing to stay further north in the UES/UWS/Midtown zones... perhaps as much as $300+ if you want to stick with lower Manhattan. You can use our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com to get a good visual of rate and what you're up against for these dates. Are you willing to pay $250-$300 or more per nite for a room this trip to stay in Manhattan... is staying outside of the city (Brooklyn, Hoboken, Long Island City, etc) an option for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know your thoughts and we'll advise accordingly.
