This would be a VERY GOOD deal for this time of year, and while i can't say if prices will come down, or move even higher, between now and your stay, my guess is that this my be the best deal you see for this time of year ($120 all-in is typically not seen this time of year, which is considered high-season for NYC)You could try bidding to beat this $122 rate, but lately name your own price bids have not been able to beat the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals when taking the 10% OFF code into consideration. Horrified by the security problem in Paris and some other European big cities, I am just looking for a Hotel in a safe region in New York. As you know, what I see in French TV everyday is that there is always gun shot in NYC.I am just a college student with very limit budget. I am attending a conference in Pittsburg, so I am trying to have a stop in NYC for some sights. Anyway, the flights are not paid by me:) So besides bidding a Hotel, I do not know what other options. Hostels in NYC seems also very expensive and have some hygiene or fire issues last year, police shut down some hostels. Please tell me which are the region SAFE and easy for public transport in NYC.Thank you again for your suggestions.

I am afraid that there will be no wifi, or it will be not in a good condition.The express deal on PRICELINE always offer the "correct" hotels? or any chance to get in a hole?Thank you

Star ratings are subjective and even at the best hotels you will see some guest that find fault... and at some of the worst hotels some find it 'perfectly acceptable'.I don't think what you're realizing is that based upon your budget you really don't have that many options... i was actually surprised to find this one.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. So I book the express deals. It turns out to be Jolly Hotel Madison Towers, a three star hotel. The comments on Booking.com seems contradictory. So I will have my own judgement when I arrive in two months.Thank you again.

Hope you're pleased with the results... while this hotel may not be perfect, the 3* rating seems accurate from what i have read, and this is a very nice deal for these dates and this time of year in NYC. Remember that many of the reviews come from people who are paying full price, and when paying $200+ for a hotel room guests understandably expect more, and it's hard to be as forgiving at that pricepoint... but at $122/nite this should represent a very good value.Thank you for sharing your win with the board.
