vanpoodle Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Priceline never ceases to amaze me. In this case, I have been bidding for a few weeks. When I started, Express Deals had a 4* in Tiergarten for $64 and in East for $70. I started bids at $42, working my way up a dollar or two a day, only bidding those two zones, there are no re-bid zones for 4* in Berlin. Today had a bid accepted at $58 in East which surprised me because Tiergarten had the cheaper Express Deal and I would have thought I'd land a hotel in that zone, not in East. Of the possibles listed for both zones, this hotel one is the lowest rated (7.3 on PL and #253 on TripAdvisor), so I'm a little nervous as to what to expect. I'm not familiar at all with Berlin. So Priceline doesn't always make sense or give the hotels that you suspect it will give you based on what Express Deals is doing! I was quite sure that I'd get the 8.0 guaranteed one in Tiergarten since it was cheaper on Express Deals.
