Just starting to look for deals in SF 9/16-9/20. I'm hoping to get a 4* for around $100 in Financial Dist/Embarcadero. I've seen a few of those winning bids at Le Meridien. And help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Russ

Unfortunately, rates are quite high for these dates - HOTWIRE is showing a 4* in the Financial District for $346, a 4* in USE for $303 and a few other 3-3.5* listings in USE/USW between $250-300. $100 for a 4* may be possible by the airport, but for core areas of the city, I think you're probably looking at $225-250 +/-.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

I'm willing to go to $175. Honestly, the backup plan is AirBnB. There are lots of choices around $150 for studios and apartments close to downtown, which gives us a lot more space.

If you can find something equivalent to a 4* hotel for $150 you should take it as current rates are not anywhere near that... more than likely you would be looking at a 3.5* hotel in the USW zone for ~$175/nite.

If your back-up plan(s) fall thru and you find rates for these dates are higher then expected let us know and we'll explore your options.

Hey guys, I'm back on this thread with a new itinerary. I was able to find a small studio for 3 nights in Union Square area, but can't get in until tomorrow. What PRICELINE area would I have to try to find something for tonight (9/16) for one night, for less than $150? I just used the PRICELINE link to start my search.

Bid $125 for 4* in Union Square East - Nob Hill. Won Hotel Adagio Autograph Collection on first try. Guess I should have started lower, but the room is super nice, and for the price I wanted. Got a Grand King corner room on 12th floor. Awesome views out of 2 sides of room. Win Win!
