qinjojo Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 Hi, I am trying to bid a hotel in NYC for 10/5-10/7I am looking at Midtown East, Financial district, Time Square, Madison Square Garden3 1/2 or 4*The express deal showsMidtown east 206Time Square 230MSG 255Financial district 184My target is 130 for 4* and 115 for 3.5×This is the first time trying bid and don't know whether target is realistic. so please helpthank you!!
AaronJB Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)The Fall is unfortunately one of the busier times of the year in NYC and $130 for a 4*/$115 for a 3.5* is not going to be realistic for these date/s. I think you're likely looking at $150-160 +/- a bit in the downtown/financial district area, but more towards $180-200 (depending on the zone) in Midtown.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

qinjojo Posted September 10, 2013 Author Report Posted September 10, 2013 Thank you for all the replies!Just read the msg and can you suggest priceline bid strategy if raise the price higher to 150-160 for the downtown district??Thank you
thereuare Posted September 10, 2013 Report Posted September 10, 2013 Did you want to first try for a 4* hotel up to $160, then if rejected try for a 3.5* hotel... OR is the goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? Also, i assume that all four zones (MTE, Downtown, TS, MSG) are all still acceptable? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please confirm/let us know the information above and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
qinjojo Posted September 13, 2013 Author Report Posted September 13, 2013 Yes, those zones are all acceptable. 3*, 3.5*,and 4* are all good and if 3* could get lower prices. Appreciate your suggest!I will use the PRICELINE link for bid.
