Planned a Sports Weekend in Boston. Celtics vs Nuggest on Fri Dec 6th, Bruins vs Penguins on Sat Dec 7th and Patriots vs Browns on Sun Dec 8th.

I did my bidding this way:

Quincy Market-Financial District 4*--$75----declined

added Copley Square-Back Bay --$85----declined

added Boston Common-Theater District-$95----declined

added Boston Harborfront-Aquarium----$100----------ACCEPTED

Average rate I found was $175 a night (Canadian funds on Expedia.ca) so not bad really.

There is no way to know if rates will come down closer to your stay, although there have been less and less instances of that in the last few years as rates and demand have gone higher. Rates can also certainly stay the same or go higher closer to your stay.
