Priceline Hotel: What Philadelphia hotels will allow me to bid more than once?

So, I am trying to get a hotel in the 3.5-4 range for 9/20-9/22 in Rittenhouse Square through Priceline. I started the bid at 75 yesterday. Then I bid 80 and for some reason it went through.. but it still failed. Now, when I try to bid, it's not letting me. I would go down a star to 3.0 but I am not sure there are any hotels in that range in the area? How do I do that trick to let me bid again? What neighborhoods can I bid on?

Instructions for determining free rebid zones are in the PRICELINE FAQ. After you think you've got the technique down, you can list your assumptions back here and somebody can double check them. There currently are 8 at the 4* level, BUT ONLY 4 at 3.5* level.

It is necessary for you to know how to determine them yourself, since they can change and you have to check them just before each bidding session. Otherwise you run the risk of landing in some zone that used to be OK but no longer is.

Were both of your bids above at the 3.5* level or was one of them at the 4* level?

Do you have a maximum bid in mind? At current rates it think you're likely looking at $135-$155 for a 4* hotel... somewhere in the $100-$120 area for a 3.5* property.
