aurory13 Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 I need help bidding on a 5* hotel on the Strip South for 10/11 - 10/13. I used Priceline and added in different areas but even at $160/nt I was still rejected. How high do I really need to go to get this? Are there any better options to book directly through a hotel consignment option? It seems like Vdara is around $450 total for two nights, but we are hoping to spend less. Any advice/help greatly appreciated!
AaronJB Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
aurory13 Posted September 5, 2013 Author Report Posted September 5, 2013 I'm not sure we have an exact budget, but hoping for less than $400 total for both nights. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Are you only looking for Strip South? I would try $165, but if that's not accepted, there's a 5* for $174 on HOTWIRE in the Strip South area. You can also look on the PRICELINE Express side of PRICELINE.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
aurory13 Posted September 5, 2013 Author Report Posted September 5, 2013 Yes, we only want the South Strip. I saw that one on Hotwire, but for me me it was $184/nt, not sure of the discrepancy in price but I just double checked and got the same figure. What do you think it is...Vdara? I did check Priceline's Express side and the price for what I believe is Vdara was almost the exact same as visiting Vdara site directly. All in all it still came out to well over $400.
thereuare Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages. It's not clear to me if you're including booking fees/taxes/resort fees in your calculations or not, but PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 5* hotel in the Strip South zone for $182/nite. Using the discount code link in my signature gives you another 10% off bringing your cost down to ~$165/nite... i'm seeing the Vdara at $224/nite before fees, taxes, resort fees, etc.Does this PRICELINE EXPRESS deal work for your needs and budget?
