I'm really hoping to stay at the Hyatt Regency Chicago on Wacker Dr., because my conference is going to be held there. Any thoughts? Should I try naming my own price?

These amenities are extremely common and could be a match for a number of properties, including the Hilton, Palmer, Fairmont, JW Marriott, W City Center (slight chance), Hard Rock (slight chance) and Blackstone Renaissance, although I'd guess the Palmer or Hilton Towers are probably more likely.

In terms of name your own price, the issue is that you then have to be willing to stay at ANY 4* in the zone.

I see the Doubletree for $123 on HOTWIRE - not a 4*, but if you want to be really close to the Hyatt, you walk 2.5 blocks South from the Doubletree to the River and then up a bridge on the other side of the river and you're pretty much in front of the Hyatt.
